As the DevOpps Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for the Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline and the overall stability and security of the services offered by MI to the State of Montana. This includes handling deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting activities for applications towards the path of continuous integration. This position also acts as a Release Manager and as a backup for the Systems Administrator to assists in environment configuration and build outs. This is a full-time position located in Helena, Montana Responsibilities Support the creation and maintenance of critical Application Environments IIS, Service Fabric, WildFly, Perl Support and maintain existing deployment system (Jenkins) and implement future deployment systems Maintainimprove integrations between Jenkins, Jira, GIT, Confluence and slack Propose and implement containerized deployment and cloud hosting strategies Collaborate with developers to properly automate software build, test and deployments Support and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Maintain DevOpsu0027s technical documentation in Confluence Planning, coordinating, and scheduling of software releases Participate in strategic planning and advise the management team Assist with security compliance management and enforcement (PCI, NIST) Participate in disaster recover planning and operations Manage assigned project activities to achieve stated project goals, objectives, and schedules Provide Tier 2 Incident Support for Applications as required to assist internal Support Teams On-Call for outages, deployments, and maintenance outside of business hours Required Skills Bachelor s degree in a technical discipline Experience administering both Windows and Linux environments Experience managing application servers (IIS, Wildfly, and Perl) Experience in web application development, deployment, and troubleshooting Experience supporting Continuous Integration platforms and processes (Jenkins preferred) Strong automation and scripting background (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ruby, Groovy) A desire to collaborate and the communication skills needed to do it effectively Desired Skills Virtualization (VMWare), Containerization (Docker), and Orchestration (Kubernetes) Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies Experience in technical writing and design documentation Experience with test automation ITIL Certification Benefits Competitive compensation program No-cost group medicaldental insurance Vision insurance Stock purchase plan Matching 401(k) contributions with 100 vesting Disability insurance Life insurance Company wellness program Casual and fun office environment Paid State holidaysvacation Tuition reimbursement
